Movement Disorders Center

Movement disorders interfere with a person's ability to control their muscles. Some cause excessive movement, such as Tourette syndrome, Huntington's disease and dystonias. Others limit physical movement, such as Bell's palsy and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (also known as ALS or Lou Gehrig's disease). Parkinson's disease involves both involuntary and restricted movements.
